Ideas for Valentines weekend trip out on the island somewhere
Danielle and I are looking into a trip for the weekend of Valentines day.
Please post ideas for places out east that you would recommend. If it is a B&B it must have a private bathroom and also a TV in the room. We would prefer a hotel. Thanks, Scott

Montauk Manor is really pretty! They have rooms of all sizes, a small bar, a restaurant, indoor pool, etc.

The Sag Harbor Inn is a beautiful hotel in Sag Harbor...
And I would suggest dinner at Il Capuccino---they are THE BEST!

WOW Sag Harbor inn got the worst reviews on trip advisor. Not one good review. Are you sure that is the name of the hotel?

Is there anything too do now in Montauk? Is everything closed in the area?

We did Montauk Manor one Valentine's day. Many of the restaurants were closed, but several were open, and we had a great dinner at a restaurant and then brunch at the hotel. We walked around the lighthouse and saw some seals (though it was cold), and walked around the town a bit (many of the shops are closed during the winter).

What about East Wind? You could do the Spa, shop at Tanger in Riverhead and visit some wineries. Most wineries are open all year round.

There are a lot of cheaper hotels in Riverhead. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a bach party and it was very nice.
