If anyone buys Ulta Gift Cards as gifts

For Cyber Monday they are offering $20 in an e-credit for every $100 in gift cards you buy online.

I usually buy $50 each for the 2 women that work for me so I snagged them and got myself a $20 credit good for after Christmas.

I shop there a lot, so that was a good deal for me.
Better than nothing!

Even if you buy them for your own use- you are getting $120 to spend for $100.
Not a bad deal even for personal use, you know?

This is exactly what I I think I’ll do. I have an ulta obsession

PS raktuken has 10% cash back right now for ulta as well

Ok to add to this: I just purchased a $100 gift card for myself. Got the extra $20. Getting 10% Back from the $100 GC on Raktuken - which means I get $120 worth of Ulta for $90.

THEN, I immediately spent the gift card online, using Raktuken 10% Back again (another $10 give or take) They had multiple things that had free gifts attached to it AND any products you purchase worth $80 or More you get Free 24 piece gift bag. You have to manually add that to your order and it shows as FREE in your shopping cart. I then went on Retailmenot and found a coupon code for $5 off (Code is: 710949) If you are getting qualifying products, you can use Cybermon19 for $10 off but my stuff didn't qualify.

I thought ebates/Rakuten doesn't give cash back if paying with a gift card?

It doesn’t ?? I’ve used gift cards before and gotten $ back. When it was ebates. Wonder if that’ll be different.
It doesn’t work right away-if I remember and it doesn’t allow it, I’ll update.

from google -We cannot give cash back for the portion of a purchase that is made with gift cards or certificates. We can, however, give Cash Back on select gift cards purchased at stores via www.ebates.com or www.rakuten.com. To see a list of these stores, visit our Gift Cards page.

Ok. Well, if I don’t get it. I’ll update. I’ve definitely gotten it before. But maybe the rules have changed. If so, scratch the Extra $9 - it’s still an awesome deal

And today I came home to the 20% off your entire order, no exclusions, even on prestige.
Good until 12/24.
It keeps getting better

Re: If anyone buys Ulta Gift Cards as gifts

I wanted to update:

I received cash back for both the Gift Card Purchase and the purchases I made using that gift card

$10 for the gift card
$9.03 for the next purchase using that gift card

So you do get cash back when using a gift card on Raktuken
