If anyone is interested - knitters and crocheters

I found an organization that is collecting scarves for the special olympics, and am organzing a scarf-making project. If anyone is interested in making these scarves and donating, please FM me or let me know. I will be collecting them and will send them in sometime in October. The colors are Red Heart Cherry Red and White, and need to be 5x55".

This is such a nice project! I'm going to do my best to fit one in. It will give me practice on color switching.

so, i'm off to michael's to use up a gift card that's been burning a whole in my wallet

i won't promise that i'll make very many, since i have one project on my needles, school just started, and my holiday knitting... but i do promise to make one! i'll really try for two, but just can't promise at this point

i've bought the yarn and i casted on, over the weekend. i didn't like how it was looking, so i unraveled it. will be starting anew, tonight, after homework

I can bang out a scarf pretty quickly! I'll definitely make one, hopefully I can get more than that done, but I have a pretty tight schedule (hence why I'm on here at 1:30 in the morning)

i'm a little over 50% done with my scarf! i'm knitting it in a 3x3 rib in a checkerboard pattern. i'm so happy with it... especially, since i had five separate attempts at what i would do lol

I finished my scarf & had some yarn leftover so I started on a 2nd one.

Then I ran out of the red yarn so I'm debating if I want to go buy a 2nd skein of red to fishing the other scarf. I probably will!

LOL you guys are making me look bad! I NEED to get moving on it this weekend. Fortunately I can knock them out pretty quickly and will post pics too.

Let me know if you want me to send yours in with all of the scarves I'm collecting, and we can make arrangements... or if not, you are welcome to send them in on your own.

Ok, I think I want to start sending these in this week or next, so if you are making scarves, please let me know if you'd like me to send it in for you. If you would like to send it in on your own, FM me and I will give you the address to send them to.
