If DC see's a PED in a group

do u favor one dr out of all of them and do u request that dr? do u think its a bad idea if you do...meaning the other drs feel offended?

Ours has several peds in the practice. I usually request one. But have seen 2 others in the practice several times for illnesses that pop who I also really liked and don't mind seeing. I do like using her regular ped for her well visits, just for consistency purposes.

No, I don't think they get offended at all. I'm sure they'd do the same thing. It's all about who you're comfortable with.

I go to a big group. I usually see the doctor that has been primary from the beginning. The benefit of a big practice is that they usually have better hours and it's easier to get a sick appointment that works for your schedule. I don't think the other doctors take offense that you have a preference.

There are four doctors in the practice I use. I knew before I joined that they do NOT allow you to request one specific dr. At first it didn't bother me, but when DC was having complications I couldn't stand meeting with a different dr. every week. It was upsetting that I had to explain things over and over and got a different opinion each visit. I'm thinking about finding a different Ped.
