If I had 2 bloody marys yesterday, how much water weight would you expect me to gain?
I already weighed myself, and I'm just curious if the amount I gained is normal or not.

I would think a blood mary has a good amount of sodium....so I could see gaining 3lbs.

I don't think anyone will be able to pinpoint one number. I know for me, it varies so much. You haev to take into consideration what else you ate that day (how much, how much sodium, what time, etc), your activity level...
I could have a big deal the night before and see a "gain" anywhere from nothing to 6-7lbs.
There's no rhyme or reason to it. I've seen up to a 13lb gain (after vacation) and I've seen a 5lb loss after a night of eating/drinking.
The body is very, very strange sometimes!

Okay, so the fact that I gained 0.5 lb even though I was nearly perfect on my diet this weekend is not too bad. At first I was upset because I really did not eat any carbs. But then I realized the salt could have thrown me off.
The day that I actually record my weight is Friday, so hopefully I will lose the water weight and then some, since this was the first weekend that I haven't cheated on my low carb diet (apparently when you cheat it is like you have to start over again).

I think you will be fine! That is not at all a bad gain considering the sodium in tomato and/or vegetable juice.

Actually, it was clamato, which I think is worse. It was a "bloody mary sunday bar" where they gave you the vodka and you go up and chose the mix, hot sauce, olives, seasonings, and whether you wanted horseradish. And all you can drink for $10. I guess it was worth the gain!
