If I went to an SS office, would I get my new card right away?
Or do I have to wait and have it mailed to me?

I thnik they mail it to you - it took about 2 weeks to get my new one after I got married

DH just got a new one- it took less than a week to get it in the mail!

They would not print one on the spot but they could give you written verification of your SSN if you need it.
