If someone tags you in a photo on Facebook...
...and you untag it- do they know? Like are they notified at all?
I just feel like people always tag me in the ABSOLUTE worst pictures ever. It's almost like a joke- like if there is a HIDEOUS picture of Jenna out there- with no make up on, making a horrible face, having a terrible hair day- someone will tag it.
UGH... sorry but no....
So I untag it right away- but I was wondering if the person who did the tagging was notified?

they wont be notified-- just like if you un-friend someone.

I don't think they're notified.
I'm pretty sure that once you untag yourself in a picture, you can't be re-tagged in the same pic.

No, they are not notified. I noticed a friend did this, he didn't want his church friends seeing him smoking a cigar.
