If u go to bellmore merrick pediatrics
Do u love all the doctors equally..I'm a new patient there. I got Dr. Bob today when i brought in my son (he was diagnosed withbronchitis). He was very good with my ds.
The office was crazy packed. My old office never got that busy, so i'm not used to that.
Of couse me and my son sanitized our hands a million times..lol.

I don't know of a Dr. Bob at Bellmore-Merrick Pediatrics? Do you go to the practice with Dr. Jassey, or the one across the street with Dr. Oppenheimer?

We're at the practice w Dr Jassey, and I've never heard of Dr Bob either.
That said, no, I do not love all the docs. There's one or two that I really dislike and avoid if possible.

Same here. There's one in particular who I don't love. I've been happy with the rest of them, although I have yet to meet them all. I tend to end up seeing PAs or the NP when DD is sick, and see Dr. Jonathan Jassey for her well visits.

This is my practice -
It's Dr(s) Bob, Peter & Andy - I honestly LOVE all of them. They are all fabulous w/ my kids.
Also, Brynn and Donna are awesome as well - I often request Brynn for my kids well vistis b/c she is SO thorough with them and takes so much time. - She's not an MD though.

OMG!!! I specifically changed to these doctors because i thought it was bellmore merrick pediatrics, and a lot of people on here say they r awesome..and now i am realizing i switched to the wrong doctors!! I'm glad the pp said she liked the office though because i don't feel like changing again. Also, i'm moving out east in september, so i'll just change then. But i feel like an idiot for going to the wrong doctor.

I started off with Dr. Bob and had been requesting him since. Last visit I got Dr. Peter and thought he was great. I would have no problem seeing all 3 as I know if you ever needed a sick visit it's not like you can control who you get.
That said, I think they all have different approaches. For example Dr. Bob told me to give my DD rice in her bottles (for reflux) and Dr. Peter told me not to. If you were relying soley on their opinions I think that could make you a little crazy.
As far as the office it is very busy. I always try to schedule my appointments at 9:00 because as of 10:00 it's nuts.

Love this practice. Dr.Bob came to the hospital when my DS was born. Long story short, the hospital wasn't releasing him because he lost a lot of weight (due to BF'ing). I called Dr.Bob back up to the hospital and he DEMANDED he be released and he would see my DS the next day for a weight check. I have called a million times over the past year with different issues, call back within an hour. I love Brynn and Donna for regular visits. When I have a specific issue, I ask for Dr.Peter or Dr.Bob. Dr.Peter is more old school (pro vaccines, pro cry it out) and Dr.Bob is more of a mommy pleaser ;) Both don't push vaccines which I love. I have made my own schedule there incl well visits and they have been wonderful. They ran out of flu shots and when I called crying I couldn't find any, they found me a practice and offered to help me make my appt. They are amazing, I am VERY happy there and I am picky!
Edited to add: Andy is great too, I have a lot of friends who prefer to stare at him and request him only :) This was Dr.Oppenheimers practice, not bellmore merrick peds

thanks for all this info. I feel better now..Considering how busy they are i figure they must have a pretty good reputation. I also like dealing with the front desk people they don't have attitudes like other doctors offices. I've only gone 3 times so far..Got Dr. Bob twice and Andy once.
So funny about Dr. Andy. i can't say i blame your friends..lol

We have seen all the docs in that practice and have been very happy with them. It's a very busy practice but we have always been able to get in on the same day for sick visits.

I agree...Very busy there but they are all good doctors with very diffferent approaches. You can wait a long time esp after school times or during peak sick season. It has gotten better in the past year or so. My oldest son can only see Dr. Andy when something major. My son is a nervous child (has made major scenes in the office) and Dr Andy has him figured out and is awesome with him and my son is feeling more comfortable when he knows Dr Andy is there. And I trust his opinion (he is a dad and has boys which helps). My middle son loves Dr Bob (I think he is a good dr but takes some getting use to personality wise). I also love Donna!! They all have different styles so you'll find who works for you.

I can easily see how you made that mistake. I honestly think that the office you go to chose that domain name in order to get some business from people who are looking for Dr. Jassey's practice. If you google "Bellmore-Merrick Pediatrics," you get Dr. Oppenheimer's website, but all the other health sites list Bellmore-Merrick Pediatrics as Dr. Jassey's practice's address.
That said, it sounds like everyone loves Dr. Oppenheimer's office. I have friends outside of LIF who use that office and they are very happy as well.
