If you are a SAHM- do you avoid certain places on week-ends...

because you have the option of going during the week when its less crowded?

My DS is off from school this week so I have been trying to keep him entertained and realized just how crowded places can be

At the same time, my DH enjoys the fun stuff too so we do occasionally frequent kiddie places on week-ends when he's off, but wow what a difference beytween week-days and week-ends

Long Island need to open more kid places so that we can spread out a little

I avoid places during school holidays and weekends. i cant stand crowds!

I'm a FTWM and try to avoid Target and anywhere popular on weekends.

I do most of my errands with the exception of food shopping during the week when everyone is at work/school. I can't stand the crowds

cant stand crowds anymore..only if it is a real need do i go foodshopping on the weekend..i rather drag 2 kids with me during the week when it is quiet then go by myself on a weekend when you cant move in the aisle

Definitely avoid Target, Costco, and any grocery store on weekends/school holidays now.
I didn't realize how much I dislike other people.

I hate going to kid friendly places on the weekends, but holiday weeks are sooo much worse. I would rather do weekends.

I run all my errands and take DS to places during the week. We rarely, if ever, go anywhere 'popular' on the weekends or during school breaks.
I will hit up fun shopping (Target, Kohl's, Macy's, the Mall, etc..) on a weekend, but have no issue walking out if the lines are insane (khol's is notorious for insane lnes during their sales)

Yes, or we go early during the weekends. I do like to go places with DH and I know he likes to take the kids out too.

I try not to go anywhere on the weekends unless it's super early.

Yes! I even avoid the supermarket, target, any place I have to go in public if I can. I hate even driving on the weekends. So much more crowded. My DH works weekends so I really don't have to leave the house. He is off during the week so we are really lucky that way.

I do. I do whatever shopping I can during the week b/c I am spoiled and not used to the crowds.

Absolutely. Museums and open plays during the week. Shows and parks on the weekends.

Oh you mean like going to smithaven on a weekend? Yeah, we we do that we also think there is nothing wrong taking the wildone out of his stroller in the mall either, you know a kids gotta be free

So, yeah whil I try to avoicpd such places, some of us (dh) has no problem going anywhere on the weekends i mean, how busy can the mall really be?

I went to Once Upon A Treetop yesterday and that place was packed. It was crazy, obv because of the holiday week. Next time, I am taking her during a reg week, when everyone is back to work

It depends what it is. DH is off on the weekends so sometimes it's easier to deal with the crowds if I have a helper.

Yes! We have a brilliant indoor soft play place and its fantastic on a weekday morning, but weekend mornings are MAYHEM. And the mall, and the supermarket...any shops we avoid on the weekends!

i do what i can during the week, even if its when DH comes home.. i run out.

I tend to avoid more shopping places on weekends really. Like Costco everytime I try to go with DH on the weekend we leave and I say don't worry I will go during the week.

The open play places I deal with because I want DH to see DS at these places and have the experience with him too. I dotn mind crowds TOO much. I have learned to avoid these places like the plague on school breaks though!

I'm a working mom but DH and I will only go to places like Target, Costco and grocery stores right when they open; otherwise it's just too crowded. We hate people.

OMG - If I were a SAHM I'd avoid EVERY single possible store on the weekends, and the 'kiddie' type play places as well -

I LOVE taking him but I HATE going when it's so crowded you could scream -

A lot of times, I'll take a random day off during the week. It is SO fabulous to go to BJs at 10 AM on a Thursday and have it be EMPTY - so it takes 20 min instead of 1.5 hours !!! Or to the park when he can run around and play w/ a few kids, rather than trying to FIND mine in a sea of 25 kids .............
