If you are due mid Oct, How many months are you?
I keep having an argument with my sister about how many months she is.
I will post what we both thought after some answers

Well I'm due Oct 1 and I'm 8 1/2 months so I would say 8 months for mid- Oct. (32 weeks = 8 months)

um, i am due september 8th and i am 8 1/2 months 
keep in mind that 4 weeks does not equal one month 
so alison, if your friend is due, say, october 19th, and today is august 19th, she has 2 months to go - therefore she is 7 months pregnant.

i would say 7 months.. yes they say pregnancy is about 10 months but your really only prego 9.. If oct is month 9, then august would be month 7.

Well I guess I'm going by lunar months (28 days each) which does make pregnancy 10 months. It's much easier for me that way!! Usually I just go by weeks though, a lot less confusing.

My friend is due 10/11 and is 32 weeks. To me that's 8 months. Once you're 36 weeks, you have a month left, so you're nine months (or in your ninth month anyway)--so Headoverheels, don't short-change yourself, girl...milk that 9 months for all it's worth--you've made it (and I oughta know--I'm a 9/7 mommy )!!!

i am due way before her and i am not even 9 months yet - i am IN my 9th month, but i haven't completed it yet - i won't until just before my due date!!

She's still off because if that were the case in 2mths when she is due she'll be 11mths pg

But she would not be 9 mos until Sept anyway...no?
And you are definitely PG for more than 9 mos, but not as many as 10.
That is why I just tell people weeks

I am due the 18th of October and consider myself to be in the 8th month of my pregnancy. 31-35 weeks is your eight month and 36-40 would be your 9th month.

For ease, I just estimate the months. I go by approximately 4 weeks = 1 month. Most preggo people go by weeks, and others don't know as much, so the estimating doesn't seem to matter. I am 25 weeks and say I'm 6mths. At 36 weeks, I'll say I'm 9mths. But, I just do this to make it easy. Technically month 1 starts when you conceive and you go from there.
