I would assume yes because you can pass it to the baby. I had strep B and an emergency C and still had to get medicine in the hospital for it.

Yes. I was supposed to have a scheduled c on 8/3 and had the group b strep test at 36 weeks. My water broke 8/1 and I had a c section on 8/1. I got the medication via iv during the c section.

Yes, my Dr said because in case you go into labor and deliver vaginally. I had a scheduled c-section and still got it because of this reason.
