If you are unsure about having more children what are you doing with all the baby cloths
DH really doesn't want any more kids but he also told he only wanted one while pg with DS so who knows after this one is born. I on the other hand would like another but not for maybe 3-4 years. Do you keep all their cloths? I have so much and this one is a girl then I don't know if I should keep it. I can't imagine keeping it for years though.

I gave it all away - and we are still on the fence about a 3rd. We just have no room to store it all - between the 2 of them, we have so many clothes!
I did keep a small box of the newborn stuff that was gender neutral, and we have not given any of the baby gear that we might need again, only the things that are replaceable if we have another.

I kept it incase I did have another and it was a girl. If I have a boy, I will go thru it and keep the special items and give away the rest.

Dh may want to try for a 3rd in a couple years, I don't know who with it won't be me, but I will have 2 girls. I am going to donate the majority of it and only keep the special outfits that have meaning to me-coming home outfits etc.
if he winds up convincing me, I will just buy more, it's a very very very long shot for him though

I either sold it or gave it away...even all my maternity clothes! We got so many gifts with Molly that I didn't even need to use the stuff I saved from Jack.

I've been saving it mainly because my SIL is pg w/a girl so it will probably go to her. I do plan on having #2 so I'm saving some stuff for that one too.

Re: If you are unsure about having more children what are you doing with all the baby cloths
I'm keeping some whether I have another or not. Some I'll donate.
This may sound corny but I was thinking of giving the clothes I keep to DS if he has a baby. If he has a boy that is. And if he doesn't have a boy well then I'll still hold on to them for memory. I'm only doing this with his baby clothes though...

My mom saved every single piece of clothing my bro and i wore for the at least for 1st 5 years of our life. She's crazy sentimental about things.
I have refused almost every single piece she's offered. the only thing i took so far was my christening blanket.
it's just now we are seeing this since my parents are selling and moving up to CT soon. It's nuts the stuff she kept!

My MIL did this. Neither DH or his brother wanted any of it. It was so out of style - a lot of polyester including leisure suits.

Then maybe I should hold on to a few of my favorites and donate the rest. But like I said I am only doing this with the clothes of his first year of life...

That's really sweet. My MIL did this with a few of DH's things and then gave them to us when we had our baby. I wouldn't necessarily dress my child in them but it was a neat sentiment. She even gave me one of his shirts with a framed pic of him wearing it. So cute!

My sister and I really "Keep it in the family." -) She and I are rotating. First she got everything. Then 10 months later Ihad jordana and she passed it along to me. Now that she is pregnant I am passing it all back, along with what I accumulated back to her.
