If you asked several contractors for quotes on several projects (long, but need advice)
We are getting our half bath/laundry room gutted and redone, and we also need to replace the siding. We've narrowed it down to 2 companies that came highly recommended. Is it wrong to use one for 1 project and 1 for the other? I have no problem telling them that I went with someone else for the other project due to budgetary reasons, but don't know if they'll be pizzed and do a crappy job.
One contractor was cheaper for the bath/laundry and we're getting a better end product. Plus we've seen a bathroom he's done and really liked it.
The other contractor was substantially cheaper for the siding, and he's installing thicker insulation as well. The price difference pays for the 3/4 of the bathroom. This contractor has done several projects at my aunt's next door neighbor, including siding and they've had no problems what so ever.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I would hire each one for the job you are getting more for your money with but don't have them there at the same time. I would just have the bathroom done first and then when you hire him tell him whatever you want and then hire the other guy to do the siding.

I agree just tell the bathroom guy you decided to hold off on the siding for now, and then tell the siding guy that you had a friend in the business who offered to do it for material costs only.

Agreed - and since you had both bid for each job, I would do as the other posters said and not have them there at the same time.
