My uncle flew up from Florida to have a simple surgery on Monday. Well he wound up getting an infection and became septic (infection in the blood). He was just starting to feel a little better when he developed a blood clot which traveled to his lungs. He is in the ICU now while my aunt is scrambling to get a flight up here to be with him.
Update: First thanks for all the prayers. They have helped! He is doing much better as of last night. They will most likely move him out of the ICU today into a regular room today. The doctors are stil baffled at why he developed several blood clots so quickly. He's only in his early 50's and was in great shape before this all happened.
