If you could host your own tv show, what would it be about?
I watch Rick Steves and Rudy Maxa's travel shows in the morning (todays was on the renaissance and the Medici family...see fun and game post somewhere below)
and I have decided that I would do a non family oriented travel show...appealing to people like me...married or coupled up, sans kiddos...wanting to get a feel of life abroad...
I'd do football matches, nightclubs, food, museums...the whole shebang...just with an younger, edgier, sexier twist...and hardcore on the food.
what would you do?

My show would be called "Oh Rachel" and it would be in the old British Comedy Fawlty Towers Stylee, full of physical humour, deadpan looks in the camera, hijinks, japes, trouble making, the ocassional non pc comment (done for shock value of course) and the show would ALWAYS end with me getting food on my top and my husband (played by David Tennant (google him) would look at me in a comical way and say "Oh Rachel"
The end.
I'm THIS close to getting it commissioned.

Mine would be similar to yours.
I am in the travel industry (travel marketer/travel writer) and have always fantasized about hosting my own show on the Travel Channel.
I would focus on local tour and niche operators ie family owned horseback riding tours in Tuscany, tea ceremonies in Morocco, small boutique resorts in the Carib, ect...

As long as you were drunk every episode and managed to get hit in the head with a tree branch while on a double decker in London I would still watch.
I would want a show like Anthony Bourdain. It's food, travel and culture. I just wouldn't be as brave as him with the things he eats. I would always have PB&J as a backup just in case.

Mine would be called "Justice Is Served".
It would feature a whole array of people who have done someone "wrong" but it was barely illegal or a misdemeanor.
Like hooking up with your best friend's ex boyfriend, jumping a turnstile, etc. The show would find out who did it and hire a detective. Once the person is found you play a joke on them.
It would be a reality show like "candid camera" or "punk'd" but the people who were "wronged" set up the people who did something mean to them, they pick what the show will do. Then we do something funny to get them back and the one who was wronged shows up and says..."Justice is Served" when it is all over. I would LOVE to see something like this on TV.
