If you could talk to someone that passed, would you do it?

I was thinking about this earlier, how I never really got to say goodbye to my first boyfriend who died in a plane crash. If I could I would.
My other question is, do you believe that you can actually talk to the death or when you die, that's it.

Re: If you could talk to someone that passed, would you do it?

yes, definitely.

Family members, influential people, musicians, you name it.

I'm a big fan of knowledge, and I believe we can learn something from everyone. I'd do it in a heartbeat!

eta: as for your 2nd q, I believe some of the stuff I've seen about talking to the dead. Sylvia Browne and John Edwards have made my chin drop quite a few times.

i'd talk to a friend that committed suicide, and tell him how much poorer the world is without him.

I would love to talk to my Grandmother. She was the most amazing woman and I would love the chance to say goodbye. She died before I made it to the hospital because I HAD to work!Chat Icon The boss wouldn't let me leave...

Re: If you could talk to someone that passed, would you do it?

Yes, there are so many people who have passed that I would love to talk to - either for the first time (like my grandfathers who I never knew) or my godmother and a close friend ..

And I'd like to believe you can communicate with those loved ones who have passed.. I've heard too many stories that are just too convincing

Re: If you could talk to someone that passed, would you do it?

I think about this all the time. I would love to know what my mom thinks of DH. I am going on the assumption she would love him. I also would love to know what she thinks about me being married. Growing up, I used to whine and cry that I would never find a husband. My mom used to say, "Don't get married then, it is stupid anyway." She just wanted to make me feel better.Chat Icon I can't imagine her thinking its stupid now that I found a good man.

Of course, I would want my husband to meet my Grandfather. He reminds me so much of him and I would love for him to meet and talk with him.

I believe when you die you can talk to anyone who had passed and if you didn't like that person you have the option to not talk with them Chat Icon

Tania, a plane crash?? That must've been a total shock. Not that we expect anyone we love to die but it's so out of nowhere, you know? A car accident, illness but it's not everyday planes crash. How terribleChat Icon I'm so sorryChat Icon

Re: If you could talk to someone that passed, would you do it?

I would love to talk to my grandmother and have her meet DH. She would have loved him, I know it...

DH and I were only dating a month when she died so he hadn't met anyone in my family yet. My grandmother was sick with alzheimers and at the time DH and I were dating we were going through a lot with my grandmother being in the hospital all the time and then we had to finally put her in a nursing home. DH wanted to meet her but I told him that it was bad timing with us and to wait until the next week after we got her more settled into the nursing home but she died at the end of that week...so she was only at the home for 1 week...Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

So unfortunately DH met her at the wake....Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I always will regret that....She didn't recognize anyone anymore but still at least he would have met her. and although it was bad timing for us, it would have been better to meet her at the hospital or nursing home instead of at her funeral...that was the worst timing of all....

Tania, that's horrible. A plane crash? Chat Icon

I would definitely want to talk to people who've passed... I'm sure at 1st I'd be afraid (fear of the unknown), but would know they mean no harm. I'd talk to anyone close to me who've died... starting with my dad, whom I only knew for 3 years of my life, then my godmother, who I miss dearly, and going down. On top of my list would be to meet the child I lost.

Re: If you could talk to someone that passed, would you do it?

I would love to know if my grandpa was there when I was married and if he knows we named the baby for him. And if he knows all the things I never got to tell him because i did not want him to thinkI was telling him he was dying. And I would want to know that he knows I will always take care of my mom, and that none of our lives is the same without him. And for all his pain no good came out of it an dthat I am so happy he is not suffering anymore.

I don't think he knows how much I love him. and miss him.

And my cousin who was killed, so I could tell him how much his mom and dad miss him, and then I'd slap the **** out of him for being so stupid! Chat Icon Chat Icon
