It depends, but I usually give the same as I would if I went to the wedding.

I give the same. The amount I give at a wedding is not to "cover my plate" but rather a gift to the bride and groom on their nuptuals.
If I get a gratuitous invite I will give them an amount directly porportional to how well I know them even if I go to the wedding.
