If you ever hosted a direct sales party in your home

If you ever hosted a direct sales party in your home, did you do it based on a previous party or did you just decide you wanted to host and searched for a rep for the party type you were interested in?

I am trying to advertise my company, but I am not sure of people really search that way.

Did it based on a previous party I attended.

Previous party - I think it helps when you do a party with your friends that they branch out the invitiations. That in turn helps you branch out

I've done it based on attending another party. But I have a friend who wanted to do something different and chose to have a Willow House home party and she just searched for a rep.

I do direct sales also, and no one has ever sought me out. I only book parties off people I know or have met at another party.

I looked for a Tupperware rep once. I needed new stuff so I decided to have a party. I have a huge cooking family and got like $800 in free stuff! I went to the website and emailed the closest person. She did not get back to me promptly so I emailed the next and she did the party. She sold a ton but did not get another party from my guests.

Previous party. Most of the parties I do for Scentsy are either friends or were guests at another party.

I did direct sales years ago, when I started the Internet wasn't really an everyday thing for people.
Most of my parties came from other parties but I also gave out catalogs in professional offices which lead to mostly book parties but still sales.
I gave small holiday gifts that were products to my hairdresser, nail tech and a bunch of other service industry people every year and a few of them had parties or one of their friends contacted me to have a party which was great because it started a whole new group of customers for me.
The best way is when you get a group of women that are good friends that make pact to each have a party so they can each benefit from being a hostess. I had a few groups like that and they never let me down!

Usually I do it based on being at another party, but I really wanted to host a Lia Sophia party because I wanted some jewelry and I love their stuff. I emailed a rep who was close to me, but she took over a week to get back to me, so I dropped the idea. So, if someone does search you out, make sure to get back to them asap!

. Wow, I can't believe they didn't get back to you?

Thanks for your responses. I want to do the listing also to find new consultants who might be interested. My business is overly successful right now and I am trying to expand my team, so hoping the listing will bring new consultants also. I have so many people wanting to book parties I need to give some away!

Re: If you ever hosted a direct sales party in your home

I have always hosted after attending a party. It helped out the host with free gifts or money off their purchase and sometimes I got free things too Chat Icon
