why wouldn't you eat it? My thought is if you wanted just soup without the bread then that is what you would get. Why get the bread bowl and not eat the bread?

YES!!!!
Hemingways in Wantagh has a chicken pot pie in a bread bowl that is AMAZING!!!
Back in the day Kenny Rogers Roasters had one that was the best thing ever!
