It varies greatly.
Simple returns could be $100..more complicated ones with schedules can be $500.

We just went today and we were only charged $110 b/c we ended up not itemizing anything and he could do the short form for us. We were literally in and out in about 15mins.

My parents pay $175, they usually file 1040 and married filing jointly..with investments and pensions included....
When I was single he charged me $150 for 1040EZ.

We paid $400 for two married filing separately returns. Our accountant did it married filing jointly also to see where we would get the max benefit. We have a very complicated return so I figure $200 each is nothing!
