If you had a UTI or bladder infection...

Did you go to your OB or to primary care?

I'm not sure if I do have one... but I've been having a sharp pain on my right side that has been on and off constantly. I also noticed my urine was a little cloudy a couple of times. One of the days being when I had my level II... but my protein and sugar were negative.

I'm waiting for my OB to open to call, but was just wondering who diagnoses this?

ETA... Also, I just finished a 10 day antibiotic cycle for an ear infection... how I am having this luck??

I started having contractions yesterday and went to my ob who diagnosed my uti and gave me antibiotics. You should see your ob who would give you the script. This is the 3rd pregnancy that I have developed a uti, I really have to start drinking more water!

OB, while pregnant, def OB. He gave me an antibiotic and some pain relief that changes the colors of your pee and made life bearable until the antipbiotics kicked in. I would call your OB. Feel better!

When you are pregnant def see your OB! I had one for almost 14 weeks while I was pregnant with DD!! It is important to make sure it is treated properly!

Is there a test they do to confirm it? Or is it based solely on symptoms?

Call your OB. I had 2 UTI's this pregnancy. They test by doing a urine culture. Most likely they will give you meds based on symptoms. Good Luck!
