If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
with your first child was it the same for subsequent pregnancies?
Also were you watching for your fertile dates and using ovulation kits?
My first pregnancy was a surprise so no charting or watching on that one. We are ttc # 2 now and while this is our first month I really want to get pregnant ASAP. Should I get an ovulation kit as I never know when i am ovulating.
TIA

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
I charted for both my pg's. 1st pg was planned, 2nd pg was unplanned for lack of actually putting in my info into the chart and having 1 time unprotected sex on the wrong day.
If you are not in tune with your cycle, at least reading about your cycle will help you when to use to OPK's. For my 1st pg i charted along with OPK's. Fertilityfriend.com is a great site for information and charting is free.
ETA: my 2nd pg i was charting NOT to get pg

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
Knock on wood, i had an extremly easy time getting pregnant. I got pregnant with #1 my first month of trying and i got pregnant with #2 without even trying 11 months later. My periods are very irregular. I never charted, or took ovulation tests. I just let nature take its course. And luckly it worked. Good luck!!!!

Yes. We were very fortunate. No issues - both times the first month we tried.

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
I used ovulations sticks. I started using them on day 8 of my cycle (I ovulate early). Got pregnant the first month using those the first tme and the 2-3 months (there was one month in there that my MIL was staying with us, so it threw us off ) with my second

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
I had the opposite... first baby was a long time coming! 14 months of trying, including 3 months of Clomid, IUI, etc. Then we stopped the treatments for a month since we were moving and very busy, and spontaneously conceived.
The second time around, I expected more problems-- I had since been diagnosed with PCOS, and my ovulation dates were irregular despite taking Metformin. Boom, I got PG the second month of trying. I had totally written that month off due to reaaallly late ovulation (like day 23 or 24) but I guess you never know!

Yes. And I was soooo worried about this.
I got PG with Andrew the 3rd month trying and with this PG, the first month trying.

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
Ist time was a breeze and we got it the first month trying. 2nd time around, it took about 4 cycles- BUT I was dealing with hormone issues as I was still BFing DD#1.

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
I got pg easily all 3 times. The 2nd time, we used CBEFM because we wanted to try for a boy, so I needed to know my exact ovulation day. But with the 1st it took 4 months, the 2nd it took 2 months, and this we nailed it on our first try.

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
For my 1st I used the ovulation kits just to figure out when I was ovulating. Got preggo in 2 months. I knew from there thatI ovulated 15 days after AF. Got preggo the next 2 times very easily. My DS was concieved while using protection.
I was a fertile Myrtle!

Re: If you had an easy time getting pregnant..
I went off BCP in feb. I observed my cycles for 3 months and used ovulation kits to see when I was ovulating. The first month we decided to try I got pg. I'm hoping to do the same thing the next time around and hopefully it'll still be easy.
