If you had hemorroids after birth (sorry tmi)
when did they go away?
I am in so much pain. I didnt have them with DS#1. I feel kind of silly taking pain meds for hemorroids.
Any good remedies?
I fot prescribed this foamy stuff but it doesnt help much.

Re: If you had hemorroids after birth (sorry tmi)
TMI warning for my post too
sitz bath, my DH is physician and says thats the best thing you can do, other than just have them surgically removed.
If I remember they were as painful as everything else down there for the same amount of time. It was really really painful, all of it! My OB prescribed that numbing creme, and i used it a lot. (when I ran out, I used the leftovers of DS numbing creme from his bris )
After about a month, they sort of went back in and are now just itchy if I have a bad poop. Either spicy food, or constipated. Its not that bad and I can usually ignore it..

They gave me the sitz bath seat. havent used it yet. i def will!
DH is also a physician but he is not very helpful with this sort of stuff. He just says it will feel better soon.

That was DH response for any complaint I had during pregnancy! Boy, was he happy that I got something he really knew something about, he's a GI

Re: If you had hemorroids after birth (sorry tmi)
I developed them later in my pregnancy and I still have them 17 months PP. They don't really bother me unless I am constipated...No help really....

Re: If you had hemorroids after birth (sorry tmi)
I had one and it was fine by 2 months
OMG did it suck!!! I was told not to sit on a ring pillow. I was told just to sit on a pillow. It helped. I did not do a sitz bath i was told not to sit in any baths. I just used the perri bottle on it in the shower
Hope it gets better sooner than later
I also numbed it up with Dubiane ointment and sprayed it with Duroplast. It DEF helped!!!

Re: If you had hemorroids after birth (sorry tmi)
Best thing I found for them- witch hazel pads!! Make sure you get the kind for hemorrhoids though. They are really great for the hoo-ha pain too. I used to take 3 or 4 of them and line them all up in the pad in my underwear, so they covered front to back. They really helped! The hemorrhoids only last a few weeks I think- maybe a month or so.
