If you have 2 kids and there is an event at school, how do you divide events?

DS#1 and DS#2 attend the same preschool. All the class parties are at the same time (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Holiday Party, Valentine's, etc).
Do you switch between classes? Do both you and DH take off?
DH tries to make events but he can't attend all of them. I would feel so guilty being in one class and not the other.

Right now, I go to DS 1's class since DS 2 is still in the infant room.
For Halloween - I am going to split it 1/2 and 1/2 (DS 2 will be in the older infant room and they are having a party). I'm going to start with DS 1's class and then the two of us will go to DS 2's class afterwards (the kids in DS 1's class are very curious about DS 2 and they pretty much swarm him any time we go in there so I figure it's best to not bring him with me...)

It would be great if the school let me take one child to the other's class. I doubt they will let me. The school is very structured and strict with rules.
