Thank you so much everyone. Your kinds words, thoughts, and FMs mean alot. I'm sorry to all those that have lost their grandma's too.  Grandmas are indeed very special.
I just wanted to let everyone know what happened. My grandmother has been living in DR for the past several years. At 76 her and my Grandpa who's 82 have been doing great living on their own. But my grandma's blood pressure has always been high and she had an brain anuerism years ago and was never quite the same since but still very much a fighter and very strong.
Her kids (my aunts and uncles - a family of 10 brothers and sisters) finally decided it was time for them to move to Florida to be with them. My grandmother had surgery to relieve a clogged artery just a few days before I arrived there to celebrate Jake's birthday. I saw her the day she came home from the hospital and she looked great. You wouldn't believe she was 76 and just had surgery.
But last night she got very ill...turns out she had an aneurism in her kidney. The surgery for that was very risky...and although she made it through...her body gave out shortly thereafter.
I just got word about an hour ago that they took her off the machines.
I'm so thankful that I got to see her one last time just a few weeks ago (the last time I saw her before that was at my wedding) and tell her that I loved her and gave her a big hug.
So everyone who's lucky enough to still have their grandmas around - call her up or go see her and tell her you love her!

My Husband just went through the same thing last month with his grandfather. They were very close. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time...
