If you have been on Pets since you joined LIF, please come in
I just wanted to touch base with posters who have been on Pets since they joined. It seems that so many people stop posting on pets, b/c they have children and are too busy I assume. Or they get rid of their pets. Or maybe even their pet passed away. Another possibility is it's too painful for people to read all the bad things posted, the rehoming posts, etc. I know I get upset at that stuff too but in the end, I always come here b/c my pets and animals are on my mind daily.
I am curious how many of us long timers are on here. It feels so sad to me, that so many who used to post here don't. Not looking for drama, just reflecting.

I have been on since we found out Shamrock was born (almost 3 years now). I still pop on every now and then to give Shammy updates and to see all the beautiful furbabies.
I hope everyone will be ready for Shammy's 3 rd birthday pics in a few weeks!

I pop in now and again... Though less in the past few months on LIF all together just do to the craziness of work...
But I always visit the pet board when I'm on.

Still here.
Don't post that often in general.
Usually on in the middle of the night and feel like most things have been answered to death so I don't add to it.
I do check here hoping to see cute pics.

Been around, just not actively posting on pets. I read, a lot of the stuff is absolutely heartbreaking - like all the animals that cannot be rescued.
I'd love to have another cat, but my nutty Bella cat won't allow it.
I'd love a dog too, but my living situation won't allow it.
Bella was the star of our holiday photo card this year.

I joined LIF in 2009 and we got our dog in 2010....Still here but our dog has been generally issue free so I only pop on the pets board every now and then

I started on LIF under another name... then I got divorced :) My new name came with a pic of my cat... Belle.
Upon leaving my ex in Sept. 2010 I found Belle.... she and I rescued each other :)
I pop in here and there.

Thanks for posting. It's good to see you all here. It just sometimes feels so sad and depressing when I think of all those who never return to Pets.

I'm still here.
I don't get upset from the posts on here after seeing the horrendous abuse posts people post on FB. Re-homing a pet vs animal abuse isn't a contest to me.
I don't post much because not much changes here with my little managrie.
My dog is the same, and hamsters, fish and a finch aren't much to talk about even though I love them.
And its been SO long since I trained a puppy, I don't have too much advice. And I know nothing about cats.
I love seeing peoples pet pictures though!!!

I've been on Pets since before I had one
You know I dialed back my involvement when I used to get too emotionally invested in drama. I do try to answer questions for new pet parents or congratulate people.
I was just thinking that it's funny how my most frequented forums have changed over the years. FHF, then Home, then Pets, now Diet & Fitness. I'm still here though.

I'm still here but haven't posted in a while. Since Clover passed we have not gotten a new feline friend yet. We are carefully considering it this spring (I like to call it "kitten season" lol). March 15th is Clover's birthday. She would have been 20 this year  I can't believe she has been gone over a year now... and yep, still finding her fur in random spots!

I pop on and off of Pets. I have three kitties of my own, but the rehoming/shelter/sick animal posts tug at my heart too much, to the point where I start crying, so I don't come on here as much as other boards.

I've been around since '06, got our pup in '07, just using a different SN now. Posted a lot when she was a puppy and going through various health issues. I still come on and read but feel like I never have any questions, as she will be 7 this May and we've pretty much got her figured out.
