If you have been to Disney, please come in! BTDT moms, I have a few questions...UPDATED
Ladies,
I have a few questions about car seats. dining and dressing at the parks...
1) Can you rent a car seat at the airport in Orlando? Is this possible? A friend of mine said that a friend of hers did. I don't know if that is possible?
2) Dining... We booked Ohana for Breakfeast, Crystal Palace for Lunch. Did anyone go to Hollywood & Vine's Playhouse Disney Character dining? How was it? Also, the Norway (Epcot) Princess Character Dining? How was that? DD is almost two and I want her to do something age appropriate. I think the princess one might be a little old for her, but i am not sure.
Also, do you have any MUST sees for dining? What would you absolutely recommend?
3) Dressing DD... I know there are a lot of rest spots that have water jumping and places for toddlers to hang out. Did you dress your kid in their bathing suit under their clothes, or just in their regular clothes and bring an extra outfit w/you? A friend of mine told me that her son (who was 2 at the time) wore a bathing suit, tee shirt and a swim diaper the whole time (they went in the summer). DD leaks through her swim diaper sometimes and I don't know if she would be comfortable like that. I am confused.
I cannot believe we leave on Thursday morning. I am getting so excited. TIA.

Yes, if you are renting a car you can rent seats but I am pretty sure you must request them in advance so they have them available.
I am pretty sure Hollywood and Vine only has Quincy and June for breakfast but I could be wrong. Never been. Went to Norway for lunch and breakfast. Not your normal food. A lot of interaction with the princesses. My kids liked them at all ages, especially Jeremy looking at the women
I love California Grill at fireworks time but that is usually a hard ticket to get. Canada (Le Cellier) in Epcot - YUM
I would wear normal clothes and bring extra and a bathing suit.
Have fun!

Re: If you have been to Disney, please come in!
the only answer i have for your questions is about the princess dining thing... we went last summer.. DD was 4 and she loves the princesses.. so it was great. they come around to the tables, take pics with the kids and talk for a couple minutes... bring autograph books or something and they will sign them for her
i didnt have this issue come up, but i would suggest keeping DD in her regular diaper and clothes and then if youre going to put her in the pool or something change her into her bathing suit then.. so she is more comfy.
have a great time!!!!!

Re: If you have been to Disney, please come in! BTDT moms, I have a few questions... Updated
UPDATE: I just wanted to update all of you that I was able to rent a carseat from this place: kids in saftey seats They work w/car rental places. My dad was driving his car fro Ft. Lauderdale to meet us, so this place lets you rent a car seat w/o having to rent a car. It was only $7 a day and a day counts as 24 hours so even though we will be there 4 days, she only charged me for 3. YAY!!!
You all have no idea about how relieved I am that I do not have to shelp the huge forward facing car seat from terminal to terminal w/DD, the stroller and two carry on bags.
Since I was not paying for her to have a seat, It works our beautifully! Dad will have them install the car seat before he comes to get us at the airport. I literally feel like a HUGE weigh has been lifted and I am not as anxiety ridden about traveling alone w/Gracie now.

We haved always watched FW at Epcot, even if the kids are tired they hung out in the stroller. Set yourself up near the exit if you plan on leaving as soon as they are over. I'm sure the weather will be beautiful so watch outside!
great news about the car seat!
