If you have chrome fixtures in your bathroom...
Do you have chrome doorknobs. We did all chrome fixtures and contractor told us people usually keep everything the same which I knew but I didn't think it mattered with doorknobs but supposedly it does, from what I am told. I went to Home depot and Lowes and nobody had any in stock only online. What did you do with doorknobs if you had polished chrome fixtures?

When we bought our house, we had goldtone doorknobs and hinges. As we redid things, we switched out all the door hinges and knobs to brushed nickel.
We have silver chrome in our upstairs bath. We haven't redone the bathroom yet, but replaced the hinges and doorknobs with brushed nickel.

2 bathrooms have chrome and one has brushed nickel. All doors, including the bathrooms, in the entire house are polished brass. I never thought about matching the fixtures with the door handles.... I just had all of the door levers match in the house.

We have chrome in our bathroom and all of our doorknobs are brushed nickel.

i don't have matching doorknobs, but that's because I bought a house with the brass face-plate and glass knobs. I loved the vintage knobs and so I kept them
ETA: I would think that chrome doorknobs would get alot of fingerprints, no?

you can get away with brushed Chrome or brushed nickel which is very popular now and will show less finger prints. try looking online at Gracious homes in the city.

We bought our house and it has all gold door knobs. All faucets are chrome. It's never bothered me. If we ever did our doors over, I'd change it, but I plan to move before then.

All doors have brushed nickel hardware - did that 18 years ago when we moved in and renovated.
Our year old bathroom also has brushed nickel fixtures, DH and I liked the way the fixtures looked that way.
