DH and I are looking for a new dining room set. Our current décor style in our home is like a modern country...I guess like a pottery barn type of look. I would really love a farm table with a nice hutch.

I'm really not finding anything I like in Raymour or Ashleys and I'm not sure where else to look.

If you have similar décor style, where did you buy your furniture from?

I wanted a table that was from PB but the table and chairs would have cost me $4k-$5K. I didn't want to spend that since it was going to be used daily and I have a 2yo.

I bought this table from world Market.

I bought 4 chairs and then got 3 fabric chairs from target. I bought it on sale last fall and free shipping.

We buy quality vintage pieces and refinish or repurpose them. Check out Vintage Chic FB group.

Try Zimmerman's in Lindenhurst - it's a tiny little store on the south side of Montauk Hwy but you;d be shocked at how much they have in there

I was going to recommend Peter Andrews too!! I love it there and they definitely have the style you're looking for. I go to the one on Hillside Ave. in Williston Park. When you first walk in you wouldn't think they sell furniture but they have a separate store connected in the back for it.

I have a pottery barn set and hutch (which I love, love, love) but I found nice reclaimed wood sets at west elm, crate and barrel, room and board and restoration hardware. If you really like the pottery barn one, they do send out 20% coupons every now and then. It'll save you thousands. Also the outlets have tables all the time drastically reduced.

I bought a canadel set. It's all custom. Our set is huge (the table is 68x48 without the leaves in it and we have 8 chairs) and it was pricey but they can be much more affordable. We bought ours at dinette plaza in Commack after seeing it at Thomasville. We spent less at dinette plaza on a much bigger set and more chairs than we priced at Thomasville.
Also try bare boards in bohemia.

There is a person in Plainview named Chelsea. She has a facebook site called painted treasures by Chelsea. She does amazing stuff. She finds sturdy furniture and refinishes it. Its not expensive and her stuff is amazing. Check her out. It's right along the style you are looking for. I have bought several things from her. You can ask her what pieces she has in storage and she may do custom work.
