If you have Stainless Steel appliances, READ THIS!!
After watching my sister clean the fingerprints off her stainless refrigerator the other day (isn't it ironic how they call it STAINLESS???), I thought I was crazy for wanting to get a stainless refrigerator for our new home.
We went to Home Depot, and the guy in the appliance dept. shared his secret with me: WD-40!!!! He told us that Home Depot uses it to clean all their stainless refrigerators...and that even with all the people touching them everyday, it only needs to be done about once a week!!! Just spray on a light coating, and wipe it down with a paper towel or cloth!
I haven't tried it yet (we don't move in till June), but I figured I'd put it out there! Let me know if it works!!

It totally works, I use it!! I got the tip from a family friend who has stainless appliances. She even uses it on her grill outside!

I have also heard that baby oil works really well!
I have a cloth called an E-cloth and its works amazingly well...when I can be bothered to clean everything!!!

Re: If you have Stainless Steel appliances, READ THIS!!
I just to work in the food service industry and we would put mineral oil on all of the stainless steel for a few reasons. It cleans/ shines it and it also gives it sort of a protective coating so when it does get dirty the dirt just wipes off. Wd-40 sounds like a good idea though.

Doesn't that make it slimy when you touch it?

Re: If you have Stainless Steel appliances, READ THIS!!
I just tried it last night too, on my stainless garbage can. As the last post said, the smell takes a little while to go away (for us, about 10 minutes), but it doesn't leave it feeling greasy at all. And man, the thing looks better than when we first bought it!

Shhhhh...dont tell anyone BUT...Pledge or Liquid Gold works good too...
I usually clean it with windex and then a couple quick swipes with a cloth doused with pledge..
