if you have two boys...

did you receive any gifts when you had DS#2 that were really useful, etc?

My very good friend just had her second boy...both her sons were born around this time of year, so she is probably set for clothes pretty much.

Any suggestions for a good gift?

I am having this dilemma now. My SIL will be delivering their 2nd DD and I was trying to think of a "different" gift.

You can always buy a personalized blanket or nice knit sweater and hat.

Personalized piggy bank.

Clothes if they are off seasons.

I actually bought my BIL & SIL a gift card to Picture People so they could get pictures taken of the baby and with my older niece. I was also going to buy a few cute summer outfits also.

I JUST had another boy 2 days ago. Both boys were born in the same season (1 day apart).

We've been getting clothing gifts and we really don't need them, especially the 0-3 and 3-6m size. We got the most gifts that size the first time around (still have many with tags from DS#1) and now we are getting them for DS#2.

I think a cute big brother/little brother shirt set might be cute.

You can never have too many blankets. I just got home and wished we had some new ones.

We've received a few gift cards and those are most helpful.

In the future, I may start gifting my friends a photo shoot or a set of classes at a place like gymboree or music together. I think those are good luxury gifts that some moms might not splurge on during maternity leave.

we've been getting alot of clothes which is ok, but to be honest, alot of them are going to be returned bc we have so much from DS #1.

I think anything personalized is great (I like the personalized blankets from Pottery Barn Kids)

a gift basket with diapers, wipes, lotion, etc. since that stuff is always needed.
