just google it, and you'll see its just panyhose with a control top, they make prego versions too.
my mom constantly threatens me that if I don't wear them I will be very sorry later
I can't stand regular hose to begin with and I'm going to go crazy if I have to wear them all day running around, but I know older women who wear them under pants all day every day.

Jobst is a brand of medical support hose. My mom and aunt constantly tell me to wear it...my legs are a mess. spider veins, the start of vericrose.
Look into your insurance. Sometimes they are covered. You can get them at medical supply stores.

Yup - this was my mom, she's been saying it my entire pregnancy this time and telling me I'm on my feet too much. I didn't listen. It took 29 wks into my second pregnancy but, now they are here - she was right

I have a few pairs of Jobst sheer - I bad veins prior to pregnancy (they are actually painful if I go all day without wearing them). The Jobst are great and wear well - I use the knee high style during the day and sometimes at night - I sleep with the thigh high ones (most of my pain is behind my knee so I need more coverage). I just order them from a medical supply website - just google 'support hose' or compression stockings and compare website prices. HTH :)

Thanks! how did you know which ones to get - they seem to have different "grades" of compression.

Yeah - it can be confusing. My DH is a MD and he actually is the one who looked at my legs (prior to BFP) and encouraged me to get them. I have chronic edema and I needed the 30-40- probably will need them for life :( Anyway - he says most women that need them could go with 20-30. I have a pair of full maternity compression stockings as well - those are 20-30. They are going to be a challenge to put on at first - that part is normal but they feel really good when on!! I get the silky sheer in black and tan! FM me if you have more questions!

Re: If you know anything about SUPPORT HOSE please come in (vein related)
I had to get compression stockings b/c of severe swelling. I don't know how they work with veins, but they really helped contain the swelling. I can't remember the brand I ordered, but they were really expensive and a PITA to put on every day. My doctor had given me a website to order the stockings from.
