We have a house now. But when I lived in a apt I hung them off the entertainment center.

Well this is our first Christmas in the apartment. DH wanted those stocking hangers, the weighted ones so we got them and we are going to get a self to hang up in the LR, something i can use afterwards for pictures or candles or something. For right now until we get the self this weekend i actually took my wedding dress box, wrapped it in wrapping paper, stod it up against the wall and put the stocking holders and stockings on that

We always hung them off the entertainment center too.....a few times my mom hung them off the china cabinet.

We got those stocking holders and placed them on a book shelf and that's where they stayed for the season.

I do this. I bought some cute stocking holders and hang them from there.

I have a half wall between the kitchen and dining room I will hang them on
(they aren't for us- but for our 2 cats- I know I am nuts!)

In our old apartment we hung them off the window sill in the living room. IN this new apartment we dont have window sills in the LR so we actually bought one of those cardboard fireplaces and we'll be decorating it and hanging them off of that. They're super cheap -- I think we paid like $30 for it at an Oriental Trading type place.

Our tv stand has these pull out things for supporting an extra leaf. We pull them out a bit and hang the stocking on that.
