what lirr station can you get the train to the city? and how far is that station

Wantagh or Bethpage
Wantagh is about 8 minutes from where I live
and Bethpage is about 7 minutes from me

You have to be a wantagh resident to park at wantagh. They require a sticker on the car.
You can park at Seaford or Bellmore with no sticker.

My DH takes the train from Bellmore everyday, you can park there for free.

I think ONLY if you're on the north side of Levittown would this station be good. However, they have hardly any parking and they are the town of oyster bay which means you pay more for parking.
I live on the South side of Levittown - practically Wantagh and I drive to Seaford - they have a HUGE parking lot that is FREE! But if you choose to get a parking pass, I think it's only like $3 per year if you travel from the Babylon line and you can use it in Wantagh - you don't need to be a Wantagh resident, but you definitely need the sticker for your car.
Hicksville/Port Jeff line is always coming across problems too... JMO

The town of Oyster bay parking permit which is good for any train station in the town of Oyster Bay is $55.00 per year. This enables you to park in Bethpage, Hicksville, Syosset..etc..
Hicksville has the most trains but parking there is rough. IF you don't get their early enough you won't find a spot. Hicksville is also on the Ronkonkoma line.
Wantagh runs on the Babylon line which is a better line than Ronkonkoma. I don't know how much it is to park there.
I park in Bethpage and I have bo problems finding a spot.
I commuted from Bellmore for years and you also have to get there early to get a spot. Because though it's free lots of non-Bellmore residents park there that's why it's packed.
So you have your choice. I think Levittown is Town of Hempstead so you couldn't get a parking permit for Town of Oyster Bay..so Wantagh or Seaford or Bellmore would be your best bet.

I forgot about the parking at Hicksville. I used to pay 6 dollars a day to park. How crazy is that. Wantagh/Bellmore you don't have to pay for parking but you do need the sticker.
I do not miss the city!!!!
