If you live in or near wooded areas, how many bugs do you see in your home?

First spring and summer in my new home. Just wondering what is a normal amount of bugs one might see living in or near wooded areas? I see some varying bugs that unfortunately get into my home (and freak me out, I have to toughen up, lol). Not sure what is a normal amount or when I should draw the line and spray some kind of poision outside (I prefer not to inside).

Spiders and ants..and once a mouse.

DH put something to get rid of the mice in the basement - it was 4 years ago - nothing since.

Not too many spiders - but some in the basement, it's unfinished.

Ants - especially this time of year. I have sprayed (organic) around all the doors and first floor windows and put some ant traps outside in the gardens. It seemed to be alot better this year becuase i did it earlier.

Just to prepare you now.......the spiders are on steroids this year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I get some massive spiders too. Baby tarantulas, that's what they look like. Ok so it's not just me? Should I expect this to get worse as summer comes? YIKES!!!

I am usually alone btw, so I have to kill them myself. My 2.5 year old spotted a gigantic bumble type bee walking inside our porch. I had to go whack that gigantic thing with a shoe. UGH. I have to prepare myself.Chat Icon

What are some ways to cut down on these critters getting in or is it unavoidable?
