If you measure ahead of schedule...
That has nothing to do with when the baby is projected to arrive, right? Or if the baby is measuring bigger (two weeks), is that a sign you could go two weeks early? TIA!

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
I always measured at least 2 weeks ahead and it never changed my due date. It just meant that my baby was bigger, which he was. He was 10lbs. 12 oz.

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
Well...I was told that my baby was measuring two weeks ahead of time at my Level II...however, the due date only changed by 2 days earlier. Originally I was told 11/11 was my due date, now it's 11/9...

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
Ive been measuring bigger (on the sono, as well as my uterus) since the begining... probably like a week or so...
I asked my DR the same thing.. he said it could mean hes coming a little earllier...but it usually means your baby is on the bigger side...no way to tell for sure though

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
I am measuring ahead of schedule according to my sonos. I have them every 2-3 weeks because I have GD and they want to watch the baby's size. Right now at 29 weeks I'm measuring 3 lbs 11 oz and the books say 2 lbs 7 oz is normal! THe doctor said it doesn't change my due date, but we just have to keep an eye on the size to see if I can deliver it or need a c-section.

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
I measured 2 weeks ahead, and I asked my doctor if my due date would change - He said that he only changes the due date when you measure ahead early in your pregnancy. I was 19 weeks at that appointment, and the baby was measuring more than 21 weeks.

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
At my 24 week sono my baby was measuring about 27 weeks...my dr said that most likely I'd go earlier than my due date...

Re: If you measure ahead of schedule...
So for all of you ladies who were measuring ahead (it sounds like so many of us!) ....
How big were your babies when they were actually born?
I am just expecting this huge gigantic thing.
3 lbs 11 oz at 29 weeks which was just this monday...
I don't know what to expect!
