If you refi, can you get rid of the old loan docs?
Should I keep them or get rid of them? Everything has changed including the loan number.

I keep any kind of important paper, and would definitely keep the original loan paperwork.

Keep. You may need the documents if you want to dispute anything about how that loan appears on your credit report. There are some other reasons you may need it, too.

i keep stuff until i get the notice that my information has been recorded in the town, after that, it's trash, i can get the info if i need it.
i may have to pay for it, but oh-well.
plus my Atty keeps everything for years and years and years, and being that she is my mom, she wont charge me for it.
