Cold towel over the eyes lay down in a darkened room for 1/2 hr or so

yes yes and yes!!!!! i take one advil and one tylenol. doctors orders..it works BUT what i want ot know is how do u stop tehm form happening!!

as soon as i sense one coming, i take advil or tylenol
if it's too late and the migraine comes anyway....a dark silent room is the only thing that helps me

Excedrin is the best, especially if it is a tension migraine. The Excedrin for tension works wonders. I tried Imitrex but I felt the Excedrin worked better, but what ***** with migraines is that they are different for everyone. Some medicines work for some and not others.

as soon as a get 1 symptom i take excedrin. My doctor told me onions can bring them on... I did not know that. Also an ice pack is good, I also drink some coffee sometimes that helps.

I take Topamax twice a day and if I feel a headache staring then I take a Relpax

If I have a migraine none of the over the counter stuff works- it's all the same to me.
If it's REALLY bad- I have to lay down in a dark room but sometimes it even gets worse to rest my head on a pillow.

I swear by it too. I tried practically every prescription meds and none worked. This is the only thing that takes the edge off...

besides the obvious pills I put some vick's vapo rub on my temples and it helps.
