I don't think formula does (but I am not looking at a can)
ETA: My DS is 2 and isn't on any type of fluoride, and never has been

I think we started it at 8 months. ETA - it's those liquid vitamins.

No and I was at the peds yesterday for his 8 month visit and she didn't say anythng about it

I read it in some books...
Are you in LI? If so, Nassau and Suffolk both have water without fluoride. Also bottled water if you prepare with that doesn't have flouride (except for Nursery water, it does). And RTF I don't think has fluoride, I called Similac and they said they don't use water with flouride although there may be a tiny bit from natural minerals, in the formula...so I asked my ped and she said to start the supplements....

I think we started flouride at 6 months and a multivitamin at 1 year.

I think we started flouride at 6 months and a multivitamin at 1 year.
How did you give the flouride then, if not with the vitamins? I believe you can't get the fluoride without the vitamins.

I'm pretty sure it was just a flouride drop. I know we switched to the vitamin we have now later on. DS has an appointment next week I can ask the dr to make sure.

The ped. gave me the RX at 6 months, but I never gave them. I'm not a fan of ingested fluoride.

Is it those brownish colored vitamins that smell really bad? I think we started around 6 months or so.

My pediatrician perscribed a vitamin with fluoride when ds was 6 months old (DS had his first tooth at 4 months)

My ped said it was not necessary at this point. He said if I were EBF he would have started her on vitamins.

AT 6 months we started a multi-vitamin supplement that contained fluoride. DS got his first tooth at 6 months though, I'm not sure if they wait until that happenes, or if most doctors prescribe this at 6 months.
Our town has no fluoride in the water.
