If you use generic lovenox....
I guess this is a two part question
1- Which brand of generic do you use?
2- If you have used different brands of generics, do you notice a difference between the needles/syringes?
I was using the generic from Sandoz for years... Now I get a Freedom delivery and it's from a company called Winthrop. I've been doing SO WELL with my injects this time around that I'm nervous to switch brands. Any experience using one vs. the other? I'm nervous the other will bruise or hurt more... I've really gotten a system down and I hate to mess with it!

Jackie, i used generic lovenox- Enoxaparin.. it was ok, i do not think it makes difference, as you know, i was on it from day 1 ( insemination) to 39w scheduled c.

Re: If you use generic lovenox....
Thanks ladies, I think I didn't explain my question right though!
Enoxiparin is the name of the generic drug, yes. However... I usually get it by a company called Sandoz and this time the packaging looks different and it's made by a company called Winthrop. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with both and noticed any difference between the two. I've been doing so well on the ones I'm on.

I've just been magically bruising a lot less this time around so I hope the other brand works as well for me.

That is so strange. I just got an order from Freedom last week and it as Sandoz. I don't think I've ever been sent another kind.

yeah, years on Lovenox and this is a first! I'm sure it's fine, I was just curious if this happened to anyone else.. I hope Freedom just sticks to one brand.

Re: If you use generic lovenox....
I was having big issues with my mail order pharmacy and the lovenox (having to wait like a week for delivery..etc)
So, because luckily I do have retail pharmacy coverage I started to get it from my local CVS..
It is the Winthrop generic as well and while I do not notice the syringe or needle to be different the packaging seems cheaper if that makes sense..BUT as you mentioned there is MARKEDLY less pain on injection and bruising than the sandoz..so I am happy with this brand..

Ahhh I am so happy to hear this, thanks!!! I actually did some googling and read that Winthrop is actually the same company that manufactures the brand name Lovenox too.
I have a tendency to bruise terribly.. if you saw some past pics, you would know what I mean!
