If you went to a holiday party at a catering hall

Would you want, not want, or not care if there was a favor?

If you would want a favor, please give me some suggestions.

I think it would be a nice gesture... maybe something edible like a piece of chocolate?

ETA: If it's an office party being thrown at a catering hall, not necessary. If it's a holiday party at a catering hall that guests pay to attend, I think a little something small as a token would be nice.

No. I've never heard of getting a favor at a holiday party. If it's adults and you want to give a favor... Small box of chocolates, bottle of wine, holiday cookie, etc...

That's along the lines of what I'm thinking. We are playing with some ideas but not sure what we will definitely do.

I wouldn't care either way. Is this a personal party or a work party?

Years ago we used to get bottles of wine as favors but, now we just get a nicer party (which I'm fine with because I usually ended up leaving my bottle of wine as we hopped from bar to bar in my younger days).

My company had a photographer that printed the pics right there and put them in a plastic frame for you to take home.

I wouldn't expect a favor, but it's always appreciated. Especially something edible.

I wouldn't expect one.

You could do a donation favor...or small bottles of Gatorade and individual packets of Advil as hangover cures

no, wouldn't want or expect one

i think the whole favor thing gets so overblown sometimes

I wouldn't care- but our company's party is at a catering hall and we usually get godiva chocolates or a crystal or lenox ornament

Wouldn't expect one at an event like that.
But woulnd't mind getting one.
My company gave everyone a cupcake from Crumbs bakery in a box and then in a company logo bag.

For a company holiday party I don't think there's any need. As long as there's alcohol I'm happy. Chat Icon

When my company was smaller and I guess had more money they did give out things with the company logo on it... Coffee mugs, key chains, I think once we got a flash drive with the co logo.
We got bigger and did smaller, separate parties.

Other times I've seen favors was when we did customer appreciation events for top customers and sales people.
