This is my all time goal in life...to write a novel. I want to write a fiction drama / mystery.

Re: If you were a writer

Childrens books like Harry Potter - things that were aimed at kids/teens but that adults could get into too.

Re: If you were a writer

probably a self help book, I know that I like to give advice and I know that I would like to teach people not to do some of the stupid things I have done in my life.

Re: If you were a writer

I've thought so many times about how I wished I could write a book. While I would love to kid myself and think I could write a great mystery - I have more leaned towards writing a children's book

Re: If you were a writer

something along the lines of a self-help book...

actually given my crummy dating past and all the crazy men I came across, dysfunctional relaitonships I had and the total idiots I actually dated (pre-DH) I could DEFINITELY write a book about what NOT to do in terms of finding a mate.. but I do think that noone would believe it was true Chat Icon

Chat Icon My best friend from college and I always talked about writing a dating book. I wanted to call ours "Why Settle for Hamburger When You Can Have Filet Mignon?"

I tried writing young adult fiction but it always came out too dark. Plus, I have the attention span of a four year old. It'll never happen.

Re: If you were a writer

I always used to want to write, but I don't have the patience or attention span to see something of that magnitude come to fruition.

I would probably write some kind of mainstream fiction/romance novel. One of those novels with a 20-30 year old yuppie protagonist.

The other thing I could end up writing is a child psych book.

Re: If you were a writer

I would write either a horror or a mystery. Or else I'd take a completely different route and write children's stories.

I would love to write a book that was as weird and scary as Stephen King.
