If you were going to paint a gender neutral nursery a combo of two of these colors
and use the other as an accent - which two would you put on the walls and which one would you use as an accent?
Ive also attached my inspiration picture.....I go back and forth on whether I like the green so much on the walls.
Oh and would you do? 1) one accent wall in one color, the other 3 the same 2) 2 and 2 3) both colors on all 4 walls - half on the bottom, half on the top?
Oh and I should add the bedding is brown and white.

Re: If you were going to paint a gender neutral nursery a combo of two of these colors
I know this might seem weird but to me aqua, as opposed to blue, is a very gender neutral color and it's GORGEOUS. I'd do that as the main color, and have the brown as an accent... I really don't know how I feel about the green yet. I'd try to stick with a bit more white to brighten it up and use smaller amounts of green.

not weird at all, that's how I feel about the aqua too which is why Im wishy washy on the green. Maybe do aqua and brown walls with green accents?

I like the picture as shown with the brown walls and one green accent wall, however, dont know if the brown walls will be too dark KWIM?
To me the aqua is a little girly to use as the main color. JMO

I love these colors together! I never would have thought of them together for a nursery. Great choice.

thanks! Im so torn!!
I kind if like the aqua and brown together now that I see it in the pic I posted.....I just dont know!
I love the green and brown, but like a PP mentioned, Im afraid the two together will be too dark. Although the nursery does have a giant window that spans almost the entire width of one wall.

I'm having the aqua / green debate myself
I actually think I'd do aqua and pear with brown accents rather than brown walls with aqua / pear accents. Just a bit brighter and kid friendly to me.

Re: If you were going to paint a gender neutral nursery a combo of two of these colors
My feeling is that the brown works best as the neutral base color - the aqua and green are accent colors, because they are sort of shades of each other.
I hope that didn't add to your confusion!

I would make the aqua the accent. Its very bright and unless the room is enormous, you may not like a lot of it on the walls. I think a nice pale green with the brown would look great with the aqua accent!

i like 3 brown walls and one aqua wall. is the room small though because if the brown is too dark it may make it look smaller, maybe a lighter shade of brown and a light aqua. then you can throw in green accents around teh room if need be. i think aqua is such a beautiful color!

Re: If you were going to paint a gender neutral nursery a combo of two of these colors
I was team green and did a spring green nursery. I would NEVER do it again. I had a little girl and nothing seemed to work with the boyish bedding I was convinced was With brown bedding I say due Aqua. All Aqua on the walls. Do the brown accent if you have a boy. Trust me is seems sooooooo easy to make anything girly, but it's not. If I could do it over I would have painted Aqua and waited a bit to buy my seperates. My bedding set was such a waste. I ended up with Pottery Barn Pink gingham curtains from a garage sale, a pink breathable bumper, and 4 girly sheets I bought. I then bought a girly lamp, and her artwork. I spent just as much on all this as the bedding I used for maybe 2 days and hated
