Just wanted to let everyone know what Landon got! I spent a little more - more like $250..... but he loves everything. He already got everything except for the last one. Can't wait to see his face when we show it to him tomorrow!!!

He is also getting a small bouncer/ball pit, fisher price vacuum, tool bench, beach toys, and little adirondack chairs from people next week at his party. My sister also gave him the entire collection of Finding Nemo summer stuff (bathing suit, rash guard, towel, sunglasses, bubble machine, beach ball) from the Disney Store.

One big item or smaller things? What about a water table? Or an outdoor playhouse?

Probably a playhouse since interest would last a few years.

ITA. And definitely the sand/water table if he doesn't get it from someone else. That is by far my DD's favorite outside toy, and she's almost 2.

ETA: A ball pit or the roller coaster would be great choices too, we don't have either but I know lots of moms on here rave about both.

We got the step 2 roller coaster right before Jack's 1st birthday and at one he kind of just liked to send the car down the coaster and he would roll a ball down it etc. It was fun for him though. At 2 1/2 he can get on it and go down by himself now and he loves it. We just had a play date with someone 3 1/2 and she loved it too. I'd say get that....you can use it for a few years. I hate to spend a lot on something that by the next year they're done with it.

The other thing that jumped out at me was a water table. We don't have one, but I've heard great things

my DD started loving her playhouse at 10 months (it's a hand me down) and her "boyfriends" have them too at just over 1 y.o. Kids get use out of them for years! They have some cute styles that aren't very girly. Water table is a good idea too.

Water table and a rollercoaster (kids love this thing).

NO ball pit, I had one and it gets gross - what a pain to keep clean.

DD is 1 and we have the step 2 roller coaster. She LOVES it and I think next year it will be an even better toy for her. She also has a ball pit which she adores but more to climb, hide and play in. For that reason, I think we are going to look into getting her a little play house.

Either the sand/water table (DD loves hers) or the roller coaster.

I spent about that on toys for DD's party:

From OneStepAhead.com

The tunnel can attach to the ball pit and they both collapse into very small packages.

From Walmart.com
Jump-O-Lene bouncer

And I want to get this from Step2:
Water Wheel Play Table
