If you were hospitalized for a period of time when you were pregnant...
A very close friend of mine will be in the hospital for the next few weeks until she delivers her 
I want to bring her a care package when I go see her on Monday.
I'm thinking a few activity books (soduku, word searches, etc) and a bunch of snacks I know she loves.
What else can I include for her? She'll be there at least for another 3 weeks if all goes well.
Thanks for any suggestions!

maybe one of those crochet kits? I don't know if she does. I don't, but if I had the time I'd sit around and make something .... maybe
coloring books 
handheld video game (I love the Yahtzee one you can get at Target)

I would have loved food. I wasn't there that long - 4 days one time and 3 days the other, but I was always hungry and asking my mom and DH to get me food.
Magazines would have been great too! You are so thoughtful to do this!
No one I know except my parents and DH did anything for me.

magazines. Oh and a portable DVD player with movies. The hospital TV was sometimes boring.

I'd say food but your friend is at Stony Brook right? They have good food but I suppose it could get tiring. There's a Green Cactus not too far from the hospital, also a Tai Show - I recommend the Hawaii roll - it's shrimp tempura with mango.
I'd say bring her some magazines...and if she IS allowed candy I'd say get her some Godivas.
Maybe some nice comfy socks like those Brook Stone ones? The socks there are so ugly.
ETA: I cheated though, I was only in from Sat to Monday but if I had time those are things I would have wanted.

Candy, cookies, one of my very good friends brought me some Panera cookies loved that at midnight when I was hungry.
Trashy gossip magazines, some sort of journal to write things down in about what I was going through and to write letters to the baby( I never did this wish I had)

Magazines (mostly US weekly type)
Snacks
Chapstick
Hand lotion
Dry Shampoo
Ponds cleansing cloths
Cozy pj's (i was allowed to wear my own clothes)
Socks with grips
Baby wipes
small toiletries
Books
