If you were moving and going to be selling lots of stuff...

would you have a 2 day sale and list it on your Facebook buy/sell groups?

I am considering doing this, but I am not too sure I want strangers on Fb knowing where my home is located...even though I am moving.. it's just a privacy concern I have..

You just never know these days.

However, I feel this is the only way to sell the items (lots of good quality) items that I will not be taking with me.

I would also consider a consignment store. There is a big one in Riverhead that has really nice stuff

I'd feel the same way to be honest.

Can you just take the pictures and post on the Buy/Sell groups? or is it just too much?

BTW anyway you have a bedroom dresser (6 drawer type) for sale? lol I have been stalking those buy/sell groups for one I can use in my guestroom

I have some pictures of my sons younger baby items that I've already taken pictures of, but when you post pictures there has to be a meet up place ... Hmm perhaps if it was just a few things, sold to on person I could do a public place meet up.. But, for the larger items, ie, a possible dining room set, kitchen set, keyboard, I'd have to have them come to my house.. I guess... Also I have some authentic designer hand bags, baby clothes, baby items.... Just some things I can think of right now..

No, sorry no dresser ..

For the bigger items, there is no other way then to have them come to your house. When we sold our BowFlex on craigslist, they came to the house to get it. I felt uneasy but there is no other way with that kind of stuff.

I would take pics of everything. List on the sites and when you have a serious buyer, then give the address (making sure you are not home alone when they are coming)

When I see things listed on those groups, they never give address just town. But if you get as far as definitely getting it, then you give address.

Just be careful

My girlfriend had a Tag Sale. She listed it on Craigslist and in The Pennysaver.
It was her, her husband and 2 other family members helping out that day.
Nothing happened and they sold a lot of stuff.

She did put all her jewelry in a box and locked it in the trunk of her car, she didn't want anything like that laying around.

That is a very good idea.

I would list the sale on FB, but I would create a new facebook account to do so. With maybe just your first and middle, and zero pictures that show your children.

Where are you located? What do you have for sale and how much?
I know someone who needs some furniture.

Wanted to add. She also posted it on FB and asked her friends to share it.
