If your 5'7" or taller-what is the highest heel you would wear...

without feeling uncomfortably tall? I am almost 5'8" and DH bought me a pair of heels that are 4 inches. I love them, hoever when i put them on and stand next to him I feel like a tree-he is only 5'9" & doesn't care, but I feel awkward.

Maybe I just have a complex aboiut my height.

I'm over 5'8 almost 5'9 and I'm wearing 3" heels today. The highest I have are 4". DH is 5'11" and usually doesn't mind when I wear them. But there are days when I guess he's having a height complex and asks me to wearing something shorter.

I'm 5'7" and I don't wear anything higher than 2.5". but not because I don't want to be tall. I just hate wearing really high heels. they hurt

I'm 6'1", DH is 5'10" and I'll be wearing a pair of 5 1/2" heels that DH bought me tonight.

I have higher heels, but I generally save those for "around" the house.

I feel most comfortable in 3 - 4 1/2" heels and I have difficulty walking in 2" or lower.


My DH loves tall women, so high heels aren't an issue for him. In his mind, the higher, the better.

It's not the fact that the heels will make me taller. I don't mind being tall (I'm only 5-7), but anything over 3" just KILLS my back to wear for any amount of time. Casually I will wear 2" or less and for dressy ocassions, I will go as high as 3".

I am close to 5'9", my DH complains all the time that I wear shoes that make me much taller than him. He is 5'8"...I wore sneaks to my wedding...any other day I am gonna wear the heels so my legs look better

I'm 5'8. I love being tall in heels. Any size heel. Even if that means towering over DH.

I usually don't wear heels (just for comfort reasons...), but I'm 5'8" and have no trouble wearing 3" heels.

DH is 6 inches taller - so it never bothers me (not sure it would or not if he wasn't as tall as he is)

but for comfort - 3-4" is as high as I can go.

I will wear up to 4" as that is the highest I am comfy in - foot wise - not really concerned about how tall that makes me. I am 5'8" and use to only be comfy in heels that are around 3 in or higher (when I worked full time and was always in heels). I use to have issues walking in heels lower than 2.5 inches. But I love being tall. I grew up where I was always the shortest in class and didn't grow until late hs so now I love being taller!!! Nowadays - I wear whatever I like, am comfy in and suits the occasion.

About 3"...maybe higher with a wedge style shoe. (I'm 5'8".)

I like to wear heals but my husband is 5'10" so I don't go too high.

Chatham... I'm genuinely curious... have you always been so comfortable with your height? I love that you embrace being so tall, have you always been that way?

I have a "peanut" complex at being 5'2.

For the most part, I've always enjoyed being tall. Most people are complimentary about it.

I'm not allowed to wear heels anymore (doctor's orders) so the highest I'll attempt is 2 inches. Last time I wore my boots to work (3-1/2") I was crippled at the end fo the day.

I have some beautiful 4" shoes that I'll never be able to wear again. That's the highest I ever went.

your DH told me a million yrs ago that he loves that "the tall blonde in the room is his GF" - except now - your not his GF your his wife - but i am sure he still loves it.

I am 5'9" and wear any height heel. I used to wear nothing but 3 - 4" heels when I was younger, but for the sake of my feet wear flats much more often now.
I've never been selfconscious about my height and always love wearing heels, they feel so much more feminine.

All thru elementary school, I was one of a group of tall girls in my class, and always felt self-conscious about it. As an adult, I never really wore heels often cause I felt I was towering over everyone. Now I won't wear heels higher than 2 inches just cause my feet tend to hurt after a few hours.
