Everything!
My DD had no teeth until 1 year old and she was able to mash and gum everything.
(I mean I wouldn't give her a steak or anything) but I would just break it all into small pieces and make sure it was soft enough and let her go to town!

I am terrified to give big chunks so I just puree the food but leave it somewhat chunky so she can learn to chew, I give puffs but break them up, pastina with veg. broth and veg. puree, yesterday I gave her a piece of cheese and she ate it...my DD gags and a few times it got stuck and freaked my out, I am just taking my time with it.

Teeth has NOTHING to do with eating food! They don't get molars until after 1 yr anyway and those are the teeth you chew with! Start small, and go with whatever your DC is ready to handle with their gums.
