If your child stuck something up their nose and you didn't know.....

what were their symptoms? I remember that one mom last year that took their child to the ER to later find out they had shoved a tissue up their nose a month prior. But I can't remember who that was.

The smell is getting pretty bad inside his nose, but the dr just looked at him Friday. Can it be seen by the dr when they look up their nose? I hope there are no more bugs up there, but the first time he had this smell and problem it was a bug. This has lasted a lot longer.

Kelly, Does Michael have a cold? I wonder how far the Dr. was able to look up? maybe its food stuck up there?

Perhaps you can ask the ped. to send you to an ear nose and throat dr just to make sure.

UNLESS it is his teeth and his mouth is stinky... from teething and breaking of gums...I notice that sometimes with Olivia.

A child in my day care once had peas stuck up his nose and he had a really foul smell coming from his mouth and nose. I think (this was a few years ago) that he had to get it taken out at the emergency room. If it continues I would call the ped again. Good Luck!

I heard a story about a kid who stuck a crayon up his nose (I am assuming an older child) and nobody knew until it melted. Imagine boogers in "Burnt Sienna"?

Ok maybe this was far fetched, (to this day, I am not so sure this is true) but Kelly understands my SICK sense of humor and rarely gets offended.

My nephew stuck a string bean or two up his nose & my sister put some black pepper powder by his nose & he sneezed it all out!

When my sister was a baby she had a piece of her blanket shoved up her nose. She had a high fever. I think my mom said that it was more than one doctor visit to figure it out.

If it is smelly, could it be that he has something in his ear or an ear infection? It could be a throat infection. "Strep throat breath" is a phenomenon that is really gross. It's all connected!

I have no idea what it could be..the smell thing would freak me out though, I would probably take him back to the doc

But I just wanted to add that when I was a toddler, I stuck the big diamond from Pretty Pretty Princess up my nose.. (I wanted to see if I could get it out )

I ended up having to have it removed at the ER and the doc had to put me in a STRAIGHT JACKET because I was going nuts...

I would automatically think if theres a odor my by there I would smell their breath and think allergies or sinus infection.

I guess you still have peas and bugs on the brain huh?

I would take him to the doctor. DS put a raisin up on his nose 2 weeks ago... Luckily he told me. If you have any doubts, it'd be better to go to the doctor again.
