If your DC ever had to get blood drawn while sick...
do they do it in the office or do they send you to Quest for a CBC and blood culture? How long does it take to get the results back?

my doctor doesnt draw blood in his office. i wish he did. so we always go to quest. we get our results within 2 days.

Thomas never had it drawn while sick, but he was sent to Quest for routine 1 year blood work (lead level test and CBC). We went on a Saturday morning and the results were back on Thursday.
ETA: Since it was drawn on Saturday and Monday was Memorial Day, it added and extra day or two.

Yes to test for Monno, it was @ a lab, Quest in Port Jefferson, it was heart breaking and I had to help hold him down..this was 2 yrs ago and he remembers it quite clearly.
Got results with in a week.
Hope your DC is ok..

Mine too. Some of the results come back earlier than others...usually they are all back within 3 days.

We went to labcorp and we got the results back in 24 hours.

true that is what they tell you. But that is a load of poop. They can have CBC's in 24 hours! And if they don't you should have your ped call and inquire.
Labcorp tried to tell us 5 days
My ped called the next day and demanded that they have it that day! And if not he was calling their supervisor

When DS was sick he got his bloods drawn at the hospital  The ped did cultures in the office, but by the time we were checking his blood & potassium etc, he was so dehydrated we went to the ER.
As far as regularly scheduled bloods, we have to go to Quest.
